Trade Analyst
l Being Cyrus is definitely the changing face of Bollywood. One of the best things about the film is the story. The screenplay is absolutely original and beautifully crafted.
Director Homi Adajania has explored a plane not many filmmakers are capable of.

Films like these should be encouraged further. Being Cyrus has created a new genre altogether.

l This movie is breaking boundaries. It is cutting through the conventional audience demography and it's amazing to note that it is driving such an audience full on. There is certainly no doubt that Saif Ali Khan has performed brilliantly.

l Being Cyrus has opened a new avenue for aspiring filmmakers. This will definitely encourage new talent to come forth.
The film also heralds a new breed of filmmakers who dare to experiment and move away from the usual run-of-the-mill kinda stories. Homi Adajania has captured the essence of the story very beautifully. I think it's a dream come true for any actor.

l The performances are outstanding! It is not one of those run of the mill kind of love story, it's a great movie, for all its idiosyncrasies.
I feel the movie has the potential to do great abroad, because it's just the kind of movie people want to see there.
Poonam Dhillon
Actor
l What hits you about Being Cyrus is its uniqueness in terms of treatment. It's emphasis on characterisation and the way the story is built through the characters is so interesting. Every character in the film is etched out in detail and given equal importance.
That's how movies should be made, if we have to be on par with international cinema. Also, more and more such films should be made, because we have so many brilliant actors languishing, for lack of good roles in our film industry.
Actors like us can think of returning to the big screen, if more like Being Cyrus are made. It is a whiff of fresh air, in the time of dancing and singing in Hindi movies.
Undoubtedly, Being Cyrus is a film that is the stepping stone towards quality cinema of international standard.

l When I saw Being Cyrus, I was really impressed with the film and Homi Adajania, because I think he has done a brilliant job as a debutant.
The story is very innovative and the treatment is very different from the regular films. It is brilliantly shot and photographed as well, which shows that Homi is a very technically-sound director.
And, it's good that he has attempted such a different kind of subject and film to make because it encourages other directors like me to try something different.
We need to make more such films and what Homi has done is commendable. Other than the direction, the performances are also par excellence.
Saif Ali Khan has done a great job and so has Dimple Kapadia, Boman Irani and even Simone Khan. I hope more directors take inspiration from Homi and make such films.

Ad Man
l It is blacker than Black, but with a macabre sense of humour. The cast comprising the likes of Boman Irani, Naseeruddin Shah and Saif Ali Khan is brilliant. In fact, Saif has quite played an unsafe' role!
Gautam Ghosh
Film Maker
l My good friend Naseeruddin Shah is acting in the film, so it's an added bonus. I think it's a very interesting film and what is even more engaging is the suspense it creates.
It gives one a different film viewing experience. Being Cyrus is on the lines of an Alfred Hitchcock or a Manoj Night Shyamalan film.
